I've heard some folks complain about streaming Sunday Ticket in the past, but I'm positive it's gonna be better than illegal pirate streams, and although I haven't played Madden since Super Bowl XL, I'm actually quite tickled that I'll get to play it this year.
That's what I'm hoping to do—sometimes Airplay is janky for me mirroring while I'm streaming video, so I'm hoping it works. Even if it doesn't I think I'd be happy to just use a VGA cord to hook up my MacBook directly to my TV like a monitor.

Yes! That's what it looks like, but based on EA Sports director of marketing's tweets and a careful reading, it looks like you'll get a code that's good even if you have no desire to ever subscribe to DirectTV.
